Joao Cancelo talks about the consequences of him with Pep Guardiola and Manchester City:
“Lies have been told! I’ve never been a bad teammate for them and you can ask both Ake and Rico that.”
“I don’t have a superiority or inferiority complex towards them, but that is his (Guardiola’s) opinion. I stayed because it’s not true. “I think Manchester City were a bit ungrateful to me when they told me that because I was a very important player during the years I was there.”
“I never failed in my commitment to the club, to the fans and I always gave my all. I remember one moment when I was mugged and beaten and the next day I was playing at the Emirates against Arsenal. “These are things that are not forgotten, I left my wife and daughter alone at home, terrified.”
“I prefer to know that I am telling the truth, I feel fulfilled by what I have done. I am a transparent person, I have never lied. Life goes on and I wish them the best, because while I was there I enjoyed football and the team.”
