Formula 1 will experience this weekend the second date of the 2023 calendar, where
Checo Perez arrived in second position in the drivers’ world championship and will be
looking for his second podium to stay in the fight for the world title.
The Grand Circus will celebrate the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia, the land where the
Mexican achieved in 2022 his first pole position in Formula 1 in a dramatic closing
qualifying alongside Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

He also recalled that the circuit underwent some modifications over the last year with the
aim of benefiting the show and the safety of the drivers themselves.
“But every year is a new challenge. We come here with a different car, different tires… the
track is a little different. That’s the beauty of our sport; it doesn’t really matter what you’ve
done here in the past, every year is a new challenge,” said the Red Bull driver in a press
conference.
The Mexican driver will be looking to surpass what he has achieved in the two editions of
the circuit in the F1 championship. In 2021 he qualified in fifth position, but abandoned on
lap 14 due to damage to the car after a collision with Charles Leclerc and eventually went
to the walls.
In 2022 the Mexican driver started from the first box, but finished in fourth place, because
one lap after entering the pits Nicholas Latiffi, who is no longer in F1, crashed into the
walls and this hurt the Mexican driver in his strateg
